After surrendering to the gospel ministry over 19 years ago, I have been preaching the gospel wherever, and whenever given the opportunity. After being called, my pastor and mentor, brother Eddie Flowers simply said; “well, if God has called you to preach, then go preach somewhere.” I took that to heart, and faithfully held church services at a local nursing home, weekly, for over 15 years along with filling in for my pastor our at other churches as needed. I was invited to come preach at Stanfill Baptist Church in February of 2020, where God gave me a burden for the wonderful people there. They had been without a pastor for nearly two years, and after prayerful consideration, I reached out to the pastor search team. I was voted in unanimously on June 28, 2020 as pastor, and have cherished the last 4 1/2 years of serving together with my church family. I’m excited for what God has in store for us as we faithfully move forward in the work that God has called us to and as we strive to fulfill the great commission.
